It is interesting how
the only way a culture is able to truly recognize its particular costumes is
when another person not belonging to that same culture highlights them. A perfect example of this happening is seen
in Canada; more specifically when they talk the English language. The Canadians
tend to use the word a in between sentences, which is best known as the
Canadian a. Some Canadians say they do it to make sure the other person is paying
attention. However, others argue that they due it automatically and in some
cases they hardly notice it. This nevertheless is not only seen in Canadian
English. On the contrary we also see it happening in the United States. However,
American's instead of using the Canadian a in between sentences they use the
word ja. These are all marks that allow us to see how the English language is spoken
differently depending on the region it`s in.
On the other hand, even
though in distinct places the English language is spoken differently the reason
that any kind of English is understandable by all is because throughout the
years different kinds of dictionaries have been created in order to establish
both a spelling convention and help improve the idiomatic pronunciation. Making
the communication between regions more efficient.
